Cristina is Marisa's older sister. She has been by Marisa's side through each milestone and life event. In every room, Marisa looks for Cristina. She could not imagine the day without her built-in best friend by her side. Fun Fact: Cristina and her husband Chris share the same birthday: June 13, same year too!

Nicole is Lynette's older sister and maid of honor. She spent many years as L's babysitter, always making sure they had lots of fun things to do. Nicole helped Lynette find her first-ever job, and Lynette lived with her in Philly that summer. Fun Fact: Nicole was All-American in crew during college.

Steven is Marisa's younger brother. They have been on many trips together and used to live together in Chicago. Steven has bonded with Lynette over cooking and running. Fun Fact: Steven is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Scouts.

Dahee is Lynette's sister-in-law, married to her brother, Michael.  Lynette, Dahee, and Michel all went to undergrad together at Lehigh University, and she has been part of the family for over 10 years. Fun Fact: Dahee was once a child model for Green Giant's canned corn.

Leah is Marisa's cousin. Marisa and Leah both live in Chicago and have been besties since childhood. They used to have sleepovers every Christmas night so they could wake up on the 26th to celebrate Leah's birthday together.
Fun fact: At age 5, Marisa told Leah she was adopted, and Leah did not believe her until she asked her parents!

Leah Fotieo

Meghan is one of Lynette's oldest friends. They met the summer after 8th grade and have been buds ever since. Meghan is a talented pastry chef who lives in south Florida.  Fun Fact: Meghan made Shakira's birthday cake after she performed at the Super Bowl.

Eva is Marisa's cousin. Eva and Marisa are ten years apart but have always been close. They are kindred spirits. Marisa, Lynette, and Eva have had many fun times bopping around the city together. Fun fact: Eva is fluent in Spanish!

Lynette and Kelsey met in their Sophomore year on the rugby team at Lehigh University. Kelsey is a water engineer who loves to sail and lives in New Jersey. Fun Fact: Lynette and Kelsey have been on many road trips, totaling over 10,000 miles in the car together!

Kelsey Barba

Alyssa is one of Marisa's closest friends. They met in Chicago while attending Columbia College Chicago for their undergraduate degrees. They were also roommates post-college. 
Fun fact: Alyssa lives in Cork, Ireland!

Alyssa Holland

Lynette and Grace met in 2019 while working on the same project at work. They quickly became friends and have been ever since. Marisa and Grace met shortly after M + L began dating and have been giggling ever since. Grace is an honorary shared bridesmaid. Fun Facts: Grace is the youngest of 6 children and has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with her sisters and dad.

Kiley is like a sister to Marisa. Marisa began nannying Kiley when she was six years old. Kiley is now 17 and a bright light in Marisa's life. Marisa and Kiley's hangouts have stretched across three states: IL, CO, & TN! Fun fact: Kiley saw over 40 artists in concert in 2024.

Camryn is like a sister to Marisa. Marisa began nannying Camryn when she was four years old. Camryn is now 15 and a constant in Marisa's life. Cam is hands-down one of the funniest people Marisa knows. They have shared many belly laughs. Fun fact: Cam and Lynette have the same birthday!

We are so excited to welcome our nearest &amp; dearest to Vail! From the charming pedestrian downtown to stunning mountain views, endless hiking trails, family-friendly activities and world-class eating, this mountain town shines in the summer.

THE BASICS

Vail is a 2-hour drive from Denver International Airport (DEN) or a 40-minute drive from Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE).&nbsp; There are many hotels in Vail and most of them are concentrated within the map borders shown below. This area is largely pedestrian-only and serviced with easy hop on-hop off trolly busses. Beyond those borders (and sometimes within!), there are many Airbnb and home rentals which have daytime bus routes into the town center and are serviced at night by Ubers or taxis.&nbsp; See below for more travel details and our Q&amp;A page for some other helpful tips.

GETTING TO VAIL

We recommend flying into Denver International Airport (DEN), which is about a 2-hour drive from Vail. From there, you can either rent a car or arrange a shuttle to your hotel or Airbnb. Shuttle options are listed below. Alternatively, you can fly into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), which is just a 40-minute drive to Vail, though there are fewer flight options available. Car rentals and shuttle services are also available from EGE. *pro tip: despite being loyal Avis customers, we have continuously had issues with the Avis rental car shuttle at DEN. If you choose it, be prepared for a slightly longer wait.

EPIC MOUNTAIN EXPRESS

This service will take you door to door from whichever airport you arrive at (DEN or EGE) to your hotel and back for ~ $80 each way per person. This is a good option for those uncomfortable driving in the mountains or choosing not to rent a car. STAYING IN VAIL

Vail is built around Vail Ski Resort and has two pedestrian ‘villages’: Lionshead Village toward the west and Vail Village toward the east. Their centers are about 1.5 miles apart (connected easily by free trolly <a href="https://www.vail.gov/government/departments/transportation-services/bus-information/bus-schedule-winter" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">busses</a> until 1:30am). Vail Village tends to have a livelier scene at night, with more restaurants and bars. It’s where you will exit the gondola at the end of our wedding night. Lionshead village is quieter, family-friendly, and where you will enter the gondola at the beginning of our wedding. Just beyond central Vail there are more hotels and home/condo rentals. These are also great options where we’ve stayed. They’re accessible by bus, ubers/taxis, or car (there are many parking garages within Vail proper). When we visit, we usually stay at an Airbnb as it gives us a little more space and allows us to cook some of our own meals. We’ve arranged room blocks for our wedding at Vail-owned hotels because Vail Resorts manages our venue. If the room block works for you, great! If not, there are many other nearby options. GETTING AROUND VAIL

Central Vail is mostly car free. When you arrive you will park your car (check policies with your hotels) and walk or take the bus around.&nbsp; The bus functions like a free trolly. You can hop on and hop off its loop and get almost anywhere. It runs every few minutes between 6:30am-1:30am.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.vail.gov/government/departments/transportation-services/bus-information/bus-schedule-winter" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">SEE BUS ROUTES HERE</a> If you’re staying outside Vail proper, fear not! It’s easy to get to and from the villages. Busses connect all these areas and are very popular. You can also drive into town and park at one of a few garages. And there are uber / taxi stations in both Vail and Lionshead villages.

Travel / Lodging

You’ll likely discover this on your own as you explore the town, but if not, be sure to take a stroll along the Gore Creek Path. It runs right through town and offers a peaceful, scenic experience. Bonus points if you dip your hand in the water to feel its cool temperature!

We had a BLAST! Our instructor was so fun and happy. This will be a fun beginning to your day and a close drive from Vail's city center.

Vail Stables

Up for a challenge? Enjoy this 2,000+ ft climb that you don't need to hop in the car to get to. Access the trailhead near Eagle Bahn gondola in Lionshead Village. The hike is 3.2 miles each way. However, you can take the gondola back down the mountain into town for free.

Berry Picker Trailhead

If you have a car, you can make a day trip to Piney. It is up a dirt road and takes about 45 minutes. The payoff is worth it! You can hike, paddleboard, canoe, or spend a day by the water or in the water fishing. We initially wanted our wedding here, but it did not work out logistically. *Piney is where our homepage photo was taken!

Piney River Ranch

Vail Farmers' Market is on Sunday from 9:30 am - 3 pm. It offers delicious bites and art from Colorado locals! Super fun!

Hop on a gondola and ascend Vail Mountain to outlooks of towering peaks and expansive valleys. Whether you start from&nbsp;Vail Village&nbsp;or&nbsp;Lionshead, both the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19) and Gondola One (#1) sweep you above the trees for an uninterrupted view of the Rockies. In the summer, you’ll see fields of&nbsp;wildflowers&nbsp;and thick forests.

Things to Do

*Please note different arrival and departure locations* The wedding ceremony is at the top of Vail Mountain (!), which you’ll access from the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead Village. Please arrive at the gondola entrance at 4:30 pm for a 15-minute ride up the mountain and a 5-minute walk to the ceremony site. Following the ceremony, busses will escort guests to the reception at The 10th on Vail Mountain (approximately 6:00). After the reception, you will take Gondola One down the mountain and be dropped off in Vail Village (1.5 miles from the arrival location).&nbsp; From there, you can walk or take an easy bus home, or join us for bar hopping.
